Not just adding an Asterisk, but actually forcing the user to enter or select data on fields which are not necessarily system-required.
Started this again, because Sage marked the original idea as "Planned" but then just added an asterisk to system-required fields.

I agree, currently our clients are creating Optional fields, and making those compulsory for fields that already exist, but cannot be made compulsory.
Good example of this is Order Entry, where entering a PO No. must be compulsory for many of our clients.
Suggestion: incorporate this into UI customisation. A field can be either Visible/Invisible, and Compulsory = True/False.
