Allow notes to be created and attached to a GL batch for future reference. I often have questions about a particular entry of a GL batch and I can't post that batch until the question is answered. Allowing notes to be attached to GL batches would help a user remember why the GL batch hasn't been posted yet and what follow up has been done or needs to be done.

This is part of the attachments request that has been on the planned list for 3 or 4 years. Alternatively the new notes feature in 2017 should allow transactional notes if it is to be of any use.
The system must allow narrative to be attached to any transaction or transaction line.
The system should provide a notebook facility to allow diary notes to be attached to any transaction
data. These notes must automatically be stamped with the user name and date/time
when created. It should also be possible to search notes by date, user name or keyword, and through
the use of wildcards or partial data.
