If the user was prompted for the "Deposit Date" in the AR Receipt Batch there would be a great deal less Bank Reconciliation issues. Often users enter deposits several days after the actual deposit date. The Batch Date defaults to todays date. The Deposit Date is not accessible to change until the user puts in the first Receipt (at which time the user forgets to go back up to the Deposit Date and change it). At month end, if the users were not careful the Receipts are posted in one month however do not show up in the Bank Rec until a future month (i.e. all Receipts in the batch are dated and posted 2016 period 12, yet the "Deposit Date" is Jan 4 2017, therefore in the GL the posting is in 2016, however the Deposit is not in the Bank Rec until 2017.
