It would be helpful if the IC Update Bill of Material function could be changed to allow the Quantity field to be ignored when updating BOM's for items using a User Specified Cost
A client has several thousand sku's. Each sku has a BOM. The client set up several User Specified Cost Items for Labor and Overhead (instead of using Fixed or Variable Costs) and attached the same component item to multiple finished goods Items. Each of the various finished goods uses a different quantity of the component item for a BOM but they want the ability to update the Unit Cost IE - Labor is currently $1.00 per minute(quantity) but next year needs to be $ 1.25 per minute with the minutes being different on each of the BOMs

This is also useful if just substituting a new raw material for another raw material. In our scenario we found a different supplier for a raw material and it has it is slightly different, so we created a new part number. We then had to change all of the BOMs that used the old material and had identify how many of the first material was used in each BOM. We hundreds of BOMs not being able to default to the old part numbers quantity added a lot of extra work.
