1. Using SMTP, currently there's only one Send From Email Address. It would be good if each User ID can setup their own Send From Email Address. Because there could be different users who process OE Invoices, AR Statements, PO etc.
2. It would good if there's a CC field for each Send From email address so that each user can CC the sent documents to themselves.

  • Agreed, perhaps give the option of per module vs. per user so that each module can have their address PO@domain.com, customerservice@domain.com, ap@domain.com, ar@domain.com... you get the idea...in our case our various dept e-mails are group mailboxes...which is good for coverage.

  • Also, I've noticed that we get no dialog box confirming that the e-mail was sent. I get that this SMTP feature isn't back and forth...but a simple acknowledgment by 300 after you "print" the e-mail form to say "E-mails Sent" would be nice...as I just had a coworker send an e-mail twice as they didn't get a prompt that it was sent the first time.

  • Perhaps the ability to add a BCC field? this will allow for visibility over what has been sent.
Overall - a great enhancement if the Sage team can put it in place?

  • I think it definitely needs a per module option as well as a BCC field along with a successful send notification. The SMTP email feature is incomplete as is right now.

  • I agree with the above. In it's current form, it really isn't usable. Not one of my clients have been able to use it due to:
    1. Not being able to specify email address by Sage300 User (Sales reps sending quotes want to use their own email addresses)
    2. No confirmation that delivery to the mail server was successful, there should be an email log.
    3. No BCC option.
