The number of characters in this field needs to be increased to address requirements of international standards such as Global Location Numbers which are becoming more and more prevalent. Customers want to order using their GLN so that they have standard customer numbers across all vendors but are unable to because GLN requires 13 characters. I would suggest an increase to 20 characters at least to address other future requirements.
