When recurring GL entries are ran on a schedule, multiple different entries can be placed in one batch. So while I have one set to run, so does Bob and Karen. All three are in one batch cause us to export, import and delete around our entries so we can post our stuff. This also happens in AR which is a bigger problem because you cannot import the same invoice number so you have to add a suffix after exporting, import, delete around and then change your invoice number back.

Each Recurring Code should automatically be placed into a new batch. This is an option when you manually run, but when you schedule it, it does not give you an option.

Sage - please put an AUTOMATIC "Date Entered" field on all posts.

  • I did create a work around for this by not processing all at once. I post the first one before I process the next one. It's a pain but it works! (must do under the reminder list)

I have a total mess right now & may have to create a whole new recurring entry bc my boss had me change the date of one entry (this will happen again in Dec fyi). Because it is so close to the next recurr date, they both posted. I deleted the second one but now my schedule is off and it won't let me change it. there is no way I can see to copy it to a new recurring entry & its very long. Would be nice to have ability to copy recurring and also to be able to change the posting date if we so choose.
