In Sage 300, when you activate a module there is no way the user can deactivate it.
If you accidentally activate it, you cannot deactivate or remove it without being a programmer. There are also many companies that change their business and no longer need certain modules. For example, a company that uses the Distribution Bundle and wishes to only use the Financials Bundle since they are now a service only company. Other modern programs allow you to make these changes without being over complicated.

Not true. 3 ways to deactivate a module :
i. Business partner database edit (effective but a bit grungy)
ii. Business partner SDK tool deactivation (safe software, but only BPs have it.)
iii. Tairox Fast DBTools - either used by a business partner because they have it in their toolkit or a Sage client can buy a copy. Fast, simple, safe module level deactivation.
