At the moment, once an item has Serial or Lot numbers allocated to it, it is very difficult if not impossible to turn it off again, requiring multiple steps to clear Stock, Serial numbers and Costs, even for "Unavailable" ones. As business needs change, it should be easy for an authorised user to turn them on or off without all these procedures, while retaining all existing records. Similarly, it should be easy to turn on or off "Allow qty of Serials to be different from qty of items in transactions".
