Error: "Bank Transaction Detail. Record has been modified by another program" occurs when clearing deposits in Bank Services"

I can't believe that this error is still occurring! This should be an absolute embarrassment for Sage. Who let's knows software issues like this remain uncorrected? Beyond belief!

Let's lay out some facts:

1) Sage knows there is an issue (Solution ID 19307).
2) This issue has been around since at least 2013! (KB entry created in 2013, published 2020, updated 2022).
3) The solution to this error is worse than a dog chasing its tail. In order to fix this error, we need to choose whether our SQL collation method will allow hyphens or the collation method will cause searches to be case sensitive. What? Who should have to make this choice?
4) I don't recall hyphens ever being special characters. (We all know about #,$,%,?, etc. but hyphens?) The proposed fix is to run a script to remove all hyphens from the data. Why? Not all hyphens are causing issues. How about you fix the coding error that is causing this problem?
5) The error is 100% random and not consistent across modules. Hyphens can be entered in the A/P module and NEVER throw this error. We have 1,000s of A/R records that have hyphens in them, yet only a few select cause this error. Normally, software does the same thing in all circumstances - a hyphen is an error every time. Nope, not with Sage software (it's special!).
6) Sage is collecting thousands in "Software assurance" yet this error still exists almost a decade later? Huh? Who is determining the priorities here? Who is NOT managing customer satisfaction? It feels like Sage is really eager to collect our annual fees but not eager to fix their errors. This is bass ackward to me!

Please fix your known issues!

To be sure that this request is not overlooked because I didn't answer your questions:

a) who would want this? EVERYONE!!! No one wants bugs that have existed for almost a decade to continue!
b) why it's valuable to them? Because unnecessary errors are frustrating and so are the proposed solutions! Everyone who pays for Sage software would get value from the software working properly!
c) how it would be used? This fix would be used by everyone who gets these random error messages for using hyphens!
d) if necessary, how this differs from other related ideas or existing features? This request differs in that I am actually calling Sage out for not fixing their software bugs. I am also perplexed how software developers and publishers can justify not fixing these errors.
