Please could you consider introducing sub categories in inventory control? At the moment you only get the chance to assign one category to the item.
As in below example:
Main Category (eg, DIY)
Sub Category 1 (e.g Decorating)
Sub Category 2 (Paints)
Sub Category 3 (Oil Paints)

we currently use optional fields for this, but it is not a nice way to do this at all.
