As clients are moving from Active Directory to Microsoft Azure, those who prefer to use Windows Authentication to login to Sage 300 are currently simply out of luck. We need an option to verify Sage 300 user login through Microsoft Entra ID as an alternative to the current AD-only means for using Windows authentication.

  • Strongly agreed Jim, at Business Enabling Systems our Azure customers have been asking for SSO for Sage 300 for ages, as having to deploy Entra Domain Services or 2x Domain Controllers in Azure increases their annual expense by around $1,200 USD.

For Webscreens, we’re able to use Microsoft's Chromium Extension "My Apps Secure Sign-in Extension", which allows a user store their Webscreens username and password securely (within their Microsoft Entra ID cloud directory), then the Extension automatically injects them on the Sage 300 Webscreens Login screen – this may not be appropriate for your scenario, but we wanted to let others know that we’ve had good success with this strategy, while we await true OpenID Connect Single Sign-On using OAuth 2.0 (i.e. support for SSO with Entra, and Google Workspaces identities etc.)
