I use the notes column for any Q/A for the specific item or assembly. But every job has general qualifications and assumptions that needs to be documents prior to sending the report out the owner. Right now, this list of general qualifications and assumption is put together in a third party program (such as Word).

I see this module being similar to the totals window. It runs separately from the spreadsheet estimate and database. It would be nice to format similar to Word (margins, fonts, etc.) and the ability to enter a picture.

This feature should also work nicely with reports. This report can stand alone or be an option to add it to an existing report (in spreadsheet reports you are able to check "Print Cover Page", "Print Signature Block", or "Print Estimate Totals"; "Print Qualifications" would fit nicely here.

  • We are heading this direction with the upgrade of notes and the ability to create named tabs. We should be adding the ability to call the specific tabbed note out on reports in the near future.
