They used to have a feature in DOS that would automatically abbreviate the Item Descriptions as you reduced the column width, by deleting vowels starting near the end of the description and working its way to the left or beginning, taking out one letter at a time as you reduced the width. That would be VERY helpful to have as on “option” in the new system, considering the extremely long Item Descriptions in the MeansDatabases.
